Apparently these socks are the greatest things ever. You put them on after a long run or hard workout, and your legs are supposedly good as gold the next day. A couple of clicks and 4 days of waiting, and my very own Recovery Socks greeted me from my mailbox.
I had 12 miles planned after work on Friday. While it's not the hardest workout during my marathon training, it was good enough to justify trying out the socks. I put them on after my shower and proceeded to slide all around the house for the rest of the evening. I even wore them to bed. (Which The Husband thought was real sexy).
Not sure if they really did much to help me recover from yesterday, but they feel cozy and make me look extremely legit. Which, honestly, is just as important. Monday will be the real test since I have 20 miles on tap for Sunday afternoon. Assuming the wind (ug) and snow (uugg!) don't blow me into a ditch.

Oo can't wait to hear if they help for the 20 miler!
Thanks for the review - I've been looking into compression socks recently, too!
The hubby's right - those are some hideously unsexy sox.
But you make them work, Sister! SUH-Weet Gams!
Hubba-hubba!1!
That there is 100% pure pervy-ness from a creepy old, old, old Interwebs perv, like me, so you KNOW it's worth something!
It's better than money in this economy!
interesting...
I have a couple of pairs of the socks. Not sure if they work though but they are comfortable to wear around the house. I have cut off the foot of them in the past and have worn them in races if I have a sore calf. I always get made fun of when I have worn them in a race or training run though.
I've been wondering if recovery socks would make a difference, curious to see if they help after the 20 miles.
I need to run 22 tomorrow, we have 40 mph wind gusts today, supposed to be similar tomorrow only colder... this is just stupid! So good luck :) I did 4 in the wind today and it was like running against a wall.
I have heard great things about these guys. And look totaly hot - which you are absolutely right, that is very important. I think I will get the fuscia. Love it.
I'm wearing my recovery socks right now... After a hard 10k this morning plus 9 extra miles to call it a Long Run. We'll see how my legs feel tomorrow when I get on my bike!! :)
I have the pink ones on right now! I love them!!!
Maybe the husband will think the pink ones are sexy. I'm sure you could pair it with something...

Don't you legs look all hard core in the recovery socks! Very cute and they look great with your UA sneakers. I can't wait to read how they are after your 20 miler.
I have read some reviews about the compression socks. People will think I am an elderly guy from the nursing home with the compression sock.
where'd you get these? I've been looking for some but wasn't sure. I think the pink on pink would have been a bit much. I like the grey!!
I hope you're leaning against the railing in the 2nd picture. Either that, or you have a nasty case of rickets.
who cares if it's too much pink :) you should probably get a 2nd pair... ;)
i want a pair too but haven't gotten around to buying them. really need to since they get such raving reviews!
Got garmie at Best buy and they even through in the heartrate monitor at the website price "for my hassle". Pretty sweet. Crossing my fingers for good weather Monday to try it out. Probably at Lake Z or maybe just around the block...
Those socks sound too good to be true. Even if they don't work, they sure are SEXY!
Recovery socks are the bomb! They work wonders for everyone who has tried them. Good luck on your 20 milers
Ha, I remember when we used to wear knee-highs just because they were the style back then.
Look forward to hearing how they work on the 20-miler. Please compare with an ice bath too, if you do those. I'm willing to trade if you they work as well ;-)
I've been thinking of getting a pair of them, too.
And snow?? That really sucks. Where is Spring!?!
Those are totally awesome! And being legit is half the battle!
I've been hearing a lot about ocmpression ocks lately, so they must work with some effectiveness if so many people are yapping about them.
Hope your 20 miler went well!
I actually really believe the compression pants I wore yesterday helped during the race. I haven't tried socks post...can't wait to hear
i just got some of those socks too!! i forgot to test them out yesterday though, will have to this week!
Were you drunk when posing or just tired? Because you have a serious Tower of Pisa lean going on in the second photo. :)
Ooo...they look good.
I can't believe your hot pink UnderArmor shoes have seen 200 miles already! Didn't you just buy them? Girl, that's some serious mileage!
Hope your 20 miler went well and the socks help you! have a good week!
Man! These socks are ALL the rage!! I can't wait to see what you think of them after your 20-miler. I heart cozy socks, so I might have to get them just for that fact. Also, I could use a bit more 'legit.' :)
Those socks are classy!
Let us know how those socks go with the 20..
I hate wearing socks. All the time. I do to work and to run, but after that, I'm going barefoot.
Hahah you work those socks!
Thanks for the review! I'd like to give them a try one of these days. Nice legs! ;)
I only wear socks like that when my wife tells me its time for me to dress up in the Catholic girl outfit.
Was that out loud?
I've been curious about those socks. Let us know if they work!
How flippin' cute!
And, btw, I looooove your new profile pic.
Can't wait to hear about the socks and thrilled to hear about your shoes. I have been wanting a pair, but was not sure how great they were. I am glad you like yours!
I AM LOVIN' your pink shoes! They rock! I wish my Saucony's came in pink like my Mizuno's did.
I have wanted to try compression/recovery socks. I'm just too cheap to buy them...now if someone were giving them to me for free---absolutely, I'm there!
wow...three words for you: new desktop background.
