Thank you for registering!

I love registering for races. There's always that moment of pause before you hit submit. Do I really want to do this? Yes, yes you do.

I've signed up for three upcoming races, and I'm super excited.

1. Leprechaun Chase 10K. You dress up in your St. Patty's Day best, the girls get a head start, and there's beer at the end. Genius! When I asked my two bloggy running pals if they were interested, they both separately responded, "you had me at 'beer'".

I've been hesitant to finally introduce them. They live near each other, have kids similar ages, and are both pretty funny. My hesitation? I'm pretty sure they'll like each other more than they like me. I'm selfish like that.

2. Papio half marathon. Remember that one time I wanted to run the Lincoln marathon and it sold out? Remember how pissed I was? THE SAME THING HAPPENED THIS YEAR. Sold f'ing out. Papio pales in comparison, but I need to find a half to race this spring. It's too easy for me to cut runs short because I want to go home and play with the boys.

3. Women's sprint tri. I can't begin to describe how excited I am about this race. I'd normally skip this, but it literally takes place across the street from where the boys were born. The Husband is bringing them in the BOB, they'll be all mamamama when I cross the finish line, I'll see the hospital where we became a family in the background-- Gaaaaah, I'm tearing up just thinking about it.

(If these little faces don't make me run faster, I don't know what will!)
The recent running has dramatically improved since a "heat wave" rolled through these parts. I ran four days in a row and plan to go again tonight. BOB running is no joke, but I hear it get easier as I get in better stroller shape. God, I hope so.

In the mean time, life with my superheros continues to be pretty fantastic.
